Privacy policy

Last updated 13 September 2026. The short version: the tools run in your browser, we don't have accounts, and we don't see what you type.

What we don't collect

Anvare has no user accounts and no sign-up. The calculators, converters and generators on this site run entirely in your browser (in JavaScript). The numbers you enter, the text you paste and any files you drop into a document tool are processed on your device and are never sent to our servers. When you close the page, they're gone.

What our web server sees

Like every website, our hosting server receives standard technical information with each request: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the referring page. This is kept in ordinary server logs for security and to keep the site running, and is not used to identify you.

Preferences stored in your browser

If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Advertising

This site is funded by advertising. Where ads are shown, they are served by a third-party advertising network, which may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. This processing is carried out by the advertising network, not by us. You can opt out of personalised advertising through the network's own controls and through your browser's cookie settings.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand which tools are used most. We do not use analytics to build profiles of individual visitors.

Links to other sites

Our source lists link to official publications (for example gov.uk, legislation.gov.uk, the World Health Organization). Those sites have their own privacy policies and we're not responsible for their content.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you beyond routine server logs, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold personal data about you, contact us and we'll respond.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
