Privacy policy

Last updated 13 September 2026. The short version: every calculator and generator runs in your browser and sends us nothing; creating an account is optional and only stores what's needed to make that account work.

What the tools don't collect

You don't need an account to use any calculator, converter or generator on this site. They run entirely in your browser (in JavaScript). The numbers you enter, the text you paste and any files you drop into a document tool are processed on your device and are never sent to our servers. When you close the page, they're gone.

Accounts (optional)

Creating an account is optional and is only needed for two specific features: saving your own Groq API key so the AI-assist tools use your own quota, and seeing your last result on each tool the next time you sign in. If you create an account, we store your email address, a securely hashed (not plain-text) password, and — only for the features above — an encrypted copy of any Groq API key you choose to add, plus a short summary of your last result on each tool you've used while signed in. We never store a Groq key in plain text, and tool-history summaries are designed to exclude anything about other people (for example, we don't store the client name on a generated invoice, even for signed-in users). You can view, export or permanently delete this data at any time from your account page, and you can remove your saved Groq key or your account history independently of deleting the whole account.

What our web server sees

Like every website, our hosting server receives standard technical information with each request: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the referring page. This is kept in ordinary server logs for security and to keep the site running, and is not used to identify you.

Preferences stored in your browser

If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Advertising

This site is funded in part by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. Analytics

We look at our own nginx web server logs to see which pages get visited, filtering out bots and crawlers. This uses information already described in "What our web server sees" above — no separate tracking script or cookie is added to the site for this, and it isn't used to build a profile of any individual visitor.

Links to other sites

Our source lists link to official publications (for example gov.uk, legislation.gov.uk, the World Health Organization). Those sites have their own privacy policies and we're not responsible for their content.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you beyond routine server logs, there is normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold personal data about you, contact us and we'll respond.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
