About Anvare
Free calculators, generators and utilities — built to give you the number you came for, with the sources to check it.
How the calculators are built
Every calculator that depends on a real-world figure — tax rates, National Insurance thresholds, VAT rates, medical formulas, unit definitions — takes that figure from the official publication that sets it, not from a rounded summary. Each page lists its sources at the bottom, and tax pages cite the underlying legislation as well as the current-year rates, so you can verify anything we show you against the primary source.
Rates that change annually (UK Income Tax and National Insurance are set each April) are reviewed and updated for each tax year. The tax year a calculator applies to is always shown on the page.
What runs where
The calculators, converters and document tools run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type or any file you drop into a tool is uploaded to our servers — see the privacy policy for the full picture.
Not advice
These tools are for general information. They are not financial, tax, medical or legal advice, and they can't know your individual circumstances — pension contributions, student loans, Scottish tax bands, medical history. For a decision that matters, confirm the result with a qualified professional or the relevant official source.
